Bulong’s public Mac release is still in preparation. These are the setup and support expectations for that release.

Your first setup

  1. Check your Mac. The initial release targets Apple Silicon and macOS 14 or newer. Tested memory and storage requirements will appear on the release page.
  2. Install the official release. Public downloads are not open yet. We will link the signed and notarized installer here when verification is complete.
  3. Allow microphone access. Bulong needs it to hear you. You can change this in System Settings → Privacy & Security → Microphone.
  4. Allow Accessibility access. This lets Bulong respond to its shortcut and insert into compatible text fields. Use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. Do not bypass Gatekeeper warnings or grant access to an unverified build.
  5. Download a speech model. Keep the app open and your connection available. If a download is interrupted, retry from Settings. Wait for the model to show ready before dictating.
  6. Choose a key and test a phrase. Start in a blank note, review the words, and try the apps you use for work. You don’t need an AI API key.

When dictation needs a hand

My key doesn’t start recording

Check microphone and Accessibility permissions, confirm the model is ready, and make sure the selected key is not being used by another utility. Try a different key in Bulong’s Settings.

It recorded, but the text didn’t appear

Place your cursor inside a writable text field. Secure fields and some apps block insertion. Recover the result from Bulong’s result or history view and copy it manually. Do not repeatedly trigger insertion without checking the target.

A word or number is wrong

Speak clearly, reduce background noise, and check the selected language and model. Names, amounts, acronyms, and mixed-language phrases need review. Bulong does not send the text for you.

Can I use it offline?

The installed model processes speech locally. Downloads, activation, and periodic subscription verification require internet access. A temporary connection failure is different from an expired or revoked subscription. Connect again to refresh your access.

How do I remove my local history?

Use the history controls inside Bulong. Export anything you want to keep before clearing it. Copies already pasted or exported into other apps are separate and must be deleted there.

Subscriptions & refunds

The planned launch is a 14-day trial without a card, then US$6.99 or ₱399 monthly for one Mac. Sales are not open yet. Your final total and renewal terms must be shown at checkout.

Use the billing portal linked from your receipt or Bulong’s subscription screen to manage renewals. Cancellation stops future renewal and normally keeps access until the paid period ends. Need to move to another Mac or restore a purchase? Contact us with the purchase email and receipt or order reference, not payment card details.

Email hello@bulong.app for setup, licensing, cancellation, refunds, or privacy requests. We do not promise round-the-clock or same-day support.

Include your macOS version, Apple Silicon model, Bulong version, and a short description of what happened. For billing, include the receipt reference. Do not send card details, license keys, private audio, or private transcripts. If a recording is needed to investigate, we will ask separately and explain why.
