The real job

For Filipino Mac users, the task is often a quick project note, a message draft, or a thought for an AI prompt. Switching language settings or opening a separate recorder interrupts that thought.

Bulong is being built around a shortcut, local speech processing, and insertion into the focused text field. You do not need to translate yourself into English first.

Mixed speech needs honest testing

English and Filipino words can appear in one sentence, with names, amounts, and industry terms mixed in. We have not published a completed Taglish accuracy benchmark. No claim of being “the most accurate” is justified yet.

When the trial opens, try your actual vocabulary in a safe blank note. Test quiet and everyday noisy conditions. Check the words, the correction effort, and how long it takes before deciding whether it helps.

What to try

• A short project update with English technical terms.
• A Filipino sentence containing a person’s name.
• A reminder with a date, time, and peso amount.
• A natural mid-sentence switch between languages.

These are suggested tests, not measured results. Important names and numbers always need review.
